Hope Through Housing Foundation enhances lives
aspect of the mission. Through its partnership with National CORE, Hope Through Housing and the community both have unimpeded access to each other.
Child Development
This initiative is built on the premise that all children benefit from quality preschool experiences.
Vision
Children start school ready to learn.
Strategy
Hope partners with preschool service providers for low-income families such as Los Angeles Universal Prescool (LAUP), State preschool, and Head Start to provide licensed quality preschools on site at National CORE properties.
Youth Development
This initiative considers that youth who have higher quality after school care are more likely to succeed in school and in life.
Vision
Youth are academically competitive and prepared for lifelong learning.
Strategy
We provide after school enrichment programming for youth in grades K-12, including that includes tutoring and homework assistance, violence prevention strategies, supervised access to computers, nutrition, physical education and family services.
Logic Model
Hope Through Housing Foundation developed a Logic Model to define how after-school activities and program offerings will result in measurable outcomes for children and youth.
The Youth Development logic model includes the following components:
- Objectives - what we expect to achieve through our Youth Development Initiative. These objectives were identified through a review of industry best practices and an understanding of the needs of our population, with special consideration of our unique context (affordable apartment housing).
- Inputs - human and non-human resources that we invest in our initiative. Inputs are the "ingredients" that will help us meet our objectives.
- Outputs - the things that we will do to meet our objectives and impact our youth. Outputs also include who will engage in the activities.
- Outcomes - what we will measure and what we expect to change over time as a result of our activities. Outcomes are short- (within a program year), mid- (within 2-3 years), and long-term (within 3-5 years) and will let us know if our efforts are successful.

VISION
Community members improve their economic and social well-being across a range of measures including; financial health and stability, education levels and goals, and asset accumulation.

- Objectives - Providing access to needed services for aging and/or disabled adults to live well through independence following a review of industry standards for quality and excellence.
- Inputs - Human and non-human resources that we invest in our initiative. Inputs are the “recipe” or “ingredients” that will help us meet our objectives.
- Outputs - Activities we provide that help us meet our objectives and have a direct impact on our seniors and disabled we serve.
- Outcomes - What we will measure and what we expect to change over time as a result of our outputs or activities. Outcomes can be categorized at “short term” (expected in one program year), “mid” (expected in 2-3 years), and “long term” (expected in 4 years or beyond). Each outcome lets us know if our efforts were successful.
