National CORE is proud to announce that Alyssa Cotter will be assuming the leadership of the Hope through Housing Foundation. In her new role, she will be leading the day-to-day operations and strategic focus of the Foundation as Greg Bradbard departs to pursue a new opportunity.

“I am honored to carry on the mission of Hope through Housing,” Alyssa said. “I am 100% committed to fostering an environment of excellence and collaboration, with an element of fun, which will inspire our team and improve the lives of our residents. I look forward to an amazing year ahead and the future of Hope through Housing!”

The appointment was made official this week by the Board of Directors of the Hope through Housing Foundation, who all expressed their support and confidence in Alyssa as she takes on this new strategic role.

“As an organization that strives to create a platform for transformational change for our residents, it also is important that we do the same for our employees,” Hope through Housing Chairman of the Board Jeff Burum said. “I could not be more thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to Alyssa. She has been a shining star for the organization, and I know she will do remarkable things for us and our residents.”

In the five years that she has been with Hope through Housing, Alyssa has been instrumental in building strategic partnerships and strong financial support from the community through numerous initiatives, including the creation of the Women of Hope affinity group and the launch of the Building Bright Futures Scholarship program for high-school graduates and adult learners as well as successfully raising more than $5 million to support resident programs in California, Texas and Florida.

“Alyssa brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this position,’ National CORE President Mike Ruane said. “She is one of our next-generation leaders and we look forward to witnessing her growth and the positive impact she will make in her expanded role.”

“I am extremely proud of the team we are building at National CORE and Hope through Housing and of our ability to grow such amazing leaders in-house, National CORE Executive Vice President Robert Diaz added. “As a result, we are increasing the diversity of our leadership team, creating an inclusive environment that represents the communities we serve.”

The announcement comes as Hope through Housing says goodbye to Greg Bradbard, who is moving on to the Inland Empire Health Plan Foundation as chief executive officer. Over the past six years, Greg has assembled an exceptional team of professionals to carry out the missions of National CORE and Hope through Housing.

“Alyssa has been a tremendous asset to Hope through Housing, helping to strengthen our financial position and expand our program impact,” Greg said. “I am excited to pass the torch and see all the great things she will accomplish as she steps into her new role and continues to Ignite Hope for our residents.”

For more than 25 years, Hope through Housing has been investing in the future of thousands of children, families and seniors through transformational resident programs. These programs help residents meet their basic needs, provide children with onsite after-school programs, offer families financial guidance and give formerly homeless neighbors a place to call home.
