Dignity Health, Citizens Business Bank, and Wilfred N. Cooper, Sr. are to be honored October 16 as National Community Renaissance (National CORE), one of the nation’s most respected nonprofit community builders, hosts “An Evening of Hope, Endless Possibilities” – its 27th Anniversary Gala benefitting the Hope through Housing Foundation.

The gala, at the Ontario Convention Center, will celebrate the people and organizations that have made National CORE and Hope through Housing’s success possible. Special performances by CORE’s Got Talent Finalists will showcase residents of National CORE communities. With more than 100 sponsors, National CORE is expecting a sold-out event.

“We’re blessed to have the opportunity to help thousands of individuals transform their lives through high-quality housing and life-changing social services. Together with our partners and supporters, National CORE and Hope through Housing are able to create opportunities, inspire hope and offer endless possibilities to the neighborhoods and communities we serve,” said Steve PonTell, President and Chief Executive Officer of National CORE.

This year’s award recipients are playing an important role in the future of National CORE and Hope through Housing. Dignity Health will be honored as Community Partner of the Year. National CORE is partnering with Dignity Health to strengthen struggling neighborhoods in San Bernardino. Recognizing that housing is a social determinant of health, Dignity Health has committed $1.2 million to help finance the next phase of the larger Arrowhead Grove Neighborhood Revitalization.

Citizens Business Bank is this year’s Corporate Partner of the Year for financially supporting Hope through Housing’s efforts to break the cycle of generational poverty, sponsoring funding to support its Pathways to Economic Empowerment initiative. The most prestigious award of the evening, the Daniel R. Fauske Founders’ Award, will be given to Wilfred N. Cooper, Sr., a legend in the affordable housing industry.

“The synergy that National CORE and Hope through Housing bring to the communities we serve and the generous support we receive from our donors and partners have allowed us to provide individuals and families in need with the opportunity to change the course of their lives. Our gala is an opportunity to recognize and thank them, and to encourage others to join us in our mission of transforming lives and communities,” said Gregory Bradbard, President of the Hope through Housing Foundation.

The evening will include a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., gourmet dinner, and live entertainment. For more information on the event, please contact Alyssa Cotter at acotter@hthf.org or visit nationalcoregala.org.
