We are excited to announce Bank of America as our Volunteer Group of the Year. This award category, introduced in 2023, celebrates those individuals and organizations whose extraordinary dedication and passion for service bring our mission to life and strengthen the communities we serve.
Few organizations are as deeply committed to giving back as Bank of America. Its employees dedicate nearly 2 million volunteer hours annually – an inspiring testament to their devotion, in addition to the generous financial support the bank provides to causes that matter.
A long-standing partner of Hope through Housing, Bank of America has been instrumental in supporting the residents of National CORE’s affordable housing communities. Their team provides financial education workshops across Southern California. They regularly participate in our weekly Read with Kids program, assist with cherished holiday celebrations and lend their energy to Strykers soccer fundraisers.
In 2023-24 alone, 65 Bank of America volunteers stepped up to deliver more than 50 Better Money Habits workshops, informing residents on topics ranging from banking basics to the pathway to homeownership. Their commitment goes far beyond teaching – it’s about empowering our residents to build financial resilience, fostering independence and unlocking opportunities for growth.
For Bank of America, volunteerism is not just an act of giving; it’s a vehicle for transformation. Like us, they understand the lasting impact that time and compassion can have in shaping stronger, more resilient communities. The volunteers themselves are rewarded as they witness the immediate, tangible benefits of their efforts, inspiring future generations and making a lasting difference in the lives of others.
As we honor Bank of America for its dedication to volunteerism, National CORE offers its most sincere thanks for standing beside us as we offer tools, and hope, to so many in need.
