Welcome to the Hope through Housing Foundation!

Nearly 150 people gathered for a warm and lively fall celebration, filling the room with smells of roasted turkey, buttery yams and mashed potatoes piled high. Residents savored ice cream, pie and laughter. More than 90 National CORE residents from Day Creek Senior Villas and Heritage Pointe joined employees and Strykers players, all coming together around long tables and sharing stories.

Nearly one in three seniors long for deeper social connection during the holiday season – a reminder that gatherings like this matter beyond the festivities. Isolation isn’t just an emotional experience; it can take a toll on physical health as well, making opportunities for togetherness all the more meaningful.

Events like this do more than serve a good meal – they nourish connection. For our senior residents, it’s a chance to feel seen and surrounded by community, especially during the holiday season. By sharing comfort food and company, we continue to build a place where everyone belongs.
