Sometimes, one opportunity can change the direction of a person’s life.
For the past 12 years, Career Strategies has helped National CORE fill open positions across its property management operations. More recently, the company expanded that partnership to CORE Academy, helping graduates turn their training into careers in the industry.
That commitment is why Career Strategies is being recognized as the 2026 Corporate Partner of the Year.
“We fell in love with the programs available to residents, and we wanted to be part of that,” said Diana Chipres, regional director of Career Strategies, who has been with company for 16 years.
Diana and her team attend CORE Academy graduations, listen to each participant’s story and help graduates recognize opportunities they may not have imagined for themselves. Many come from retail or food service with the ability and determination to succeed but need someone willing to give them a chance.
Diana understands that feeling personally.
“I remember looking someone in the eye and asking, ‘Just give me a chance,’” she said. “If it had not been for someone to take me under their wing, guide me and coach me, I wouldn’t be here today.”
Career Strategies now provides that guidance to CORE Academy graduates. One participant moved from making pizzas to becoming a leasing consultant. After demonstrating her abilities, she was hired as a property manager and received housing as an employee benefit. A single opportunity brought her a new career, greater stability and a future she had not thought possible.
“It’s more than just work. It’s more than just a job,” Diana said. “It’s generational change.”

By recognizing potential and giving people the opportunity to prove themselves, Career Strategies is helping individuals begin careers and families imagine a different future.
