When fraudulent charges nearly drained Nancy’s bank account, what little money she had left had to go for food and living expenses. She fell behind on rent and worried herself sick at the thought of losing her new home at National CORE’s Vista de La Sierra affordable housing community.

But Nancy, 62, had Hope through Housing in her corner.

Vista de La Sierra services coordinator Odalis “Dallas” Manzano helped Nancy secure more than $700 from Hope though Housing’s emergency assistance program to pay her overdue rent.

The assistance allowed Nancy to catch her breath and find financial stability.

“It was a great deal of relief for Hope through Housing to help with my rent,” Nancy said. “Dallas went out of her way to make sure that I kept my home.”

Thanks to Hope through Housing, Nancy feels safe and secure – knowing that so many people are working so hard to make sure she has a wonderful life.

“I feel so touched by their help,” Nancy said.
