Meet Gloria, a resident of Citrus Grove who turned a small step into a lasting habit through Hope through Housing’s Money Match program.
Designed to help residents build financial stability, the program matches savings up to $1,200 over six months while providing hands-on financial literacy education.
A nurse and mother, Gloria embraced the lessons, making saving a priority even after completing the program – part of Hope through Housing’s Pathways to Economic Empowerment initiative.
Now, with more than $3,000 set aside, she’s working toward her dream of homeownership.
“You want it, you save it, you do it, that’s what Hope through Housing has put me on the path to just saving it because I am worth it,” Gloria said.
