Citizens Business Bank helps Hope through Housing Foundation

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Citizens Business Bank has granted 600 care bags to the Hope through Housing Foundation to help with the Rancho Cucamonga-based nonprofit’s COVID-19 Emergency Response & Resilience Fund. The program directly support response efforts to meet the immediate needs of residents during the time of crisis and will help facilitate resilience and a full recovery by residents in the aftermath of this time.

“During these challenging times, we are so grateful for the dedication of partners like Citizens Business Bank. It is this type of consistent support that drives the critical work that Hope is committed to,” said Gregory Bradbard, president of Hope through Housing Foundation.

Over 80 team members came together over three days to sort and pack over 600 care bags for Hope through Housing residents. “I am extremely proud of the teamwork and effort put forth by our associates who volunteered to make this a success,” said David A. Brager, Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Business Bank. “I am grateful for our valuable partnership with Hope through Housing that allows us to continue supporting residents in need of assistance during these uncertain times.”

Hope through Housing launched the COVID-19 Emergency Response & Resilience Fund in the wake of the health pandemic. Hope staff and volunteers have been on the front lines in order to help the low-income affordable housing communities’ residents that they serve providing much-needed food, resource assistance and welfare checks. Together with its nonprofit partner National Community Renaissance (CORE), Hope through Housing provides programs and resources in the five-county region of Southern California. To date, Hope staff and volunteers have made more than 10,000 wellness calls and distributed more than 50,000 meals and bags of groceries. Those efforts will continue as needed, but the nonprofit is looking ahead to the real economic challenges that lie ahead for residents.

In partnership with National CORE, Hope through Housing provides a stable living environment for low-income individuals and families who may otherwise be at-risk of homelessness. It provides family stabilization leading to economic mobility through the combination of a secure, affordable apartment home and onsite services/supports that empower adults to overcome barriers to employment and improve their financial situation and prepare youth for future self-sufficiency.

Hope through Housing Foundation’s mission is to help break the cycle of generational poverty. It provides services and resources at 70+ Southern California communities.
