Hope through Housing is thrilled to welcome Jessica Brown as its new director of philanthropy.

Jessica will play a pivotal role in the foundation’s national expansion campaign. Charged with catalyzing growth, she will focus on forging strategic partnerships, expanding the organization’s successful affinity group program, securing vital grant funding and orchestrating impact fundraising events.

“Jessica brings deep expertise in fundraising and a level of creativity that will lead Hope through Housing to new heights as we expand our services across multiple states,” said Alyssa Cotter, vice president of the Hope through Housing Foundation. “Her vision and dedication to impact will be essential to our growth.”

Jessica comes to Southern California from Huntsville, Alabama, where she served as development director at First Stop, an organization that connects individuals experiencing homelessness with services and support.

With expertise and passion for nonprofit fundraising, Jessica is committed to fostering community support through the power of storytelling, showcasing impact and diligent stewardship. At First Stop, she led organizational fundraising initiatives, notably completing a successful $4.7 million capital campaign.

A graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Jessica holds a B.A. in psychology and sociology and has been an active member of the volunteer and business community. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys baking, hiking and going to hockey games with her teenage son. She is excited to explore the vibrant culture and opportunities that Southern California has to offer.
