Earlier this year, a unique new music venue opened at Montclair Place as part of the mall’s major facelift.
The Canyon is a full-service restaurant and music venue with a tagline of “Where music meets the Soul.” Upcoming acts include Oingo Boingo, Pancho Sanchez, Tower of Power, Sir Mix-A-Lot, as well as tributes to Bruno Mars, the Eagles, and Selena.
However, on Aug. 21, a group of lesser-known performers took the stage for a very special night. It was known as CORE’s Got Talent and was the culmination of months of auditions for residents of National CORE affordable housing communities throughout Southern California.
