Across Southern California, Texas and Florida, Hope through Housing is transforming lives – helping children excel in school, working families expand financial literacy and seniors lead healthy, active lives, Hope through Housing is there.

And, just behind the front-line workers who deliver these impactful programs, you will find Assistant Vice President Dixie Torres, whose leadership helps ensure these programs are of the highest caliber.

“I want to help create the change that I wish to see in this world,” said Dixie, who oversees programs and data management. “Being part of a team working toward harmony by sharing knowledge, offering education and engaging communities is incredibly fulfilling.”

Dixie’s passion for service is evident throughout her 15 years of experience in program management, social services and community development. Since joining Hope through Housing in 2020, she has brought expertise and innovation to her multifaceted role.

Dixie’s work goes far beyond the office – her ideas and creativity empower service coordinators to deliver meaningful change to residents.

“It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of the impact I’ve been able to make over the years,” Dixie said.

Youth Program Coordinator Tairen Kessee-Broadway, who works closely with Dixie to develop after-school programing, said Dixie sets a strong example for team members.

“Dixie consistently emphasizes connectivity, collaboration, communication, problem-solving and, most importantly, joy in all we do,” Tairen said. “Her dedication has profoundly influenced both my professional and personal growth.”
