Volunteers are the driving force behind Hope through Housing, fueling our mission forward through their commitment to literacy programs, community center renovations and event staffing to strengthen our communities. Their support amplifies our impact and creates lasting, transformative change.
In 2024, 1,039 volunteers from 78 organizations dedicated 4,433 hours of their time to carrying out Hope through Housing’s mission.
Our volunteers’ passion and dedication are catalysts for change. They elevate the quality of our programs, foster a sense of belonging and ensure that children, families and seniors receive the support they need to thrive.
One such volunteer, Kelly Golden, our Volunteer of the Year in San Diego, has been instrumental in helping us extend our reach. Kelly assists service coordinators in organizing back-to-school events, festive holiday celebrations and countless community-building activities for National CORE properties.
“Hope through Housing has ignited my passion for volunteering right here in my own community,” she said. “I love what the nonprofit does, and I can’t wait to do more.”
