More than 800 votes from community members, Chamber members and local businesses helped name Hope through Housing Foundation the 2026 Nonprofit of the Year during the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce‘s Best of Rancho Cucamonga Awards.
The annual awards recognize businesses, organizations and individuals making an outstanding impact in the community. This year, the Chamber received 201 nominations across all award categories before identifying the top three nonprofit finalists.
A second round of voting generated 806 votes, with Hope through Housing earning the highest total to receive the honor.
“This honor is a reflection of the trust our community has placed in Hope through Housing and the incredible dedication of our staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, donors and partners,” said Alyssa Cotter, executive director of Hope through Housing.
“Every day, we work to ensure that affordable housing is more than a place to live by creating opportunities for families and seniors to thrive. We are deeply grateful to everyone who voted for us and for their belief in our mission.”
Hope through Housing provides after-school programs, workforce development, health initiatives, scholarships and other resident services that help children, families and seniors thrive in communities across the Inland Empire, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Texas and Florida.
“Hope through Housing’s recognition reflects the meaningful impact your organization has made in the community and the strong support it has earned from those who know and value your work,” said Heather Polk, executive director of the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce. “We were honored to celebrate Hope through Housing and its continued dedication to improving the lives of local residents.”
