Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – Children in the Hope through Housing Foundation’s Building Bright Futures program will benefit from the organization’s continuing partnership with Amazon, which is providing key funding for after-school programs, teen clubs and an annual scholarship program that equip youths with the tools, guidance and support for success.

Hope through Housing’s mission is to help break the cycle of generational poverty. Utilizing onsite community centers and long-standing relationships with residents living within National CORE affordable apartment communities, it can deliver resources and support right where residents live. Hope through Housing serves more than 8,000 households and 24,000 residents.

Amazon is providing $30,000 for Building Bright Futures in 2023.

“We would like to thank Amazon for its incredible generosity. Our Building Bright Futures initiative has many layers, and every contribution helps ensure we can elevate opportunities for children across our communities,” Hope through Housing President Gregory Bradbard said. “This is a significant investment in the futures of underprivileged youth across Southern California.”

Within Building Bright Futures’ after-school programs – Hope through Housing’s primary youth development platform – the organization offers elementary to middle school students a safe, inclusive environment and daily support within 30 community centers. Each day, students receive homework help, a nutritious snack and exercise, positive role modeling, and other enrichment activities including STEM, the arts, character development, and college/career readiness.

“Amazon is proud to continue our support for Hope through Housing’s Building Bright Futures program. Their dedication to enriching the lives of Southern California’s youth mirrors our commitment to community growth. This contribution is an investment in a brighter tomorrow, and we’re excited to be a part of the change they’re driving,” said David Ambroz, Amazon’s head of community engagement for The West and Inland Empire.

Hope through Housing also provides senior services through its Connections to Care program, one of three other areas of focus. The foundation’s Pathways to Economic Empowerment program supports family stabilization leading to economic mobility through a mix of secure, affordable apartment homes and onsite services/supports that empower adults to overcome barriers to employment and improve their financial situation. In partnership with its housing partner, National CORE, the foundation’s Unlocking Opportunities program also provides a stable living environment for individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
