How Hope through Housing is Transforming Young Lives through Youth Mentorship
Hope through Housing, in partnership with the City of Ontario, is piloting an exciting youth mentorship program at the new affordable housing community of Vista Verde, with remarkable success. The youth mentorship program, as well as Hope through Housing’s teen clubs, are led by young adult mentors, mostly AmeriCorps members and Master of Social Work candidates who are recent college graduates offering a strong support system and create a safe space where children can develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
2022 Building Bright Futures Scholarship Application Process will be launching soon!
Each year, Hope through Housing awards youth and adult learners living in National CORE communities scholarships to help them achieve their dreams through education. The scholarship recipients use the funds for a variety of different purposes. Some pay college tuition directly – others invest in technology that will allow them to study more successfully. Some use the scholarship to pay for the cost of transportation to get to their education program, while others pay for certification classes and fees that will allow them to engage in better-paying work. The 2022 Building Bright Futures scholarship application process will be launching soon!

Hope through Housing and Residents Celebrate the Holidays!
From South Texas to Los Angeles County, Hope through Housing and National CORE helped to spread holiday cheer to the individuals, children, families, and seniors we serve this December! With the help of our donors, partners, and volunteers, we were able to provide our residents with new toys, gift cards, meals, and so much more. Enjoy these photos from our community celebrations in Rancho Cucamonga, Orange County, and the San Diego region.
Hope through Housing partners with ProduceGood to Tackle Food Waste and Food Insecurity in the San Diego Region
74,000 Fresh Servings of Fruit and Veggies Provided to National CORE Residents
According to Feed America, more than 38 million people, including 12 million children, face food insecurity in the United States. Food insecurity and hunger touch the lives of many National CORE residents. To provide for our families and seniors, Hope through Housing has partnered with ProduceGood, a San Diego nonprofit that tackles food waste and food insecurity in their region by gathering fruit and vegetables that would otherwise be wasted and distributing them to community members who are either struggling with food insecurity or lack access to fresh produce.
