Privacy Policy

Our Commitment To Privacy

We respect your privacy and want to assure you that safeguarding information about you is important to National Community Renaissance. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the National Community Renaissance website. On some pages, you can make a donation, contact us, and register to receive materials. When registering on our site or making a donation, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter:

  • Name
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Organization name
  • Credit/Debit Card Information

The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself when making a donation to process your gift and to communicate with you about the work of National Community Renaissance. You can register with our website if you would like to receive updates on our current initiatives, event notifications and other relevant information.

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason without your consent. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

Use of Cookies

We have partnered with Google Display Network. When someone visits a website that has partnered with the Google Display Network, Google stores a number in their browsers (using a “cookie”) to remember their visits. This number uniquely identifies a web browser on a specific computer, not a specific person. Browsers may be associated with a demographic category, such as gender or age range, based on the sites that were visited.

In addition, some sites might provide us with demographic information that people share on certain websites, such as social networking sites. We may also use demographics derived from Google profiles.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our server uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect credit card and other information submitted via the forms on this site. SSL is the industry standard security protocol. All off-line information is securely stored and is accessible only by authorized staff.

This site contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites not owned by National Community Renaissance. We encourage our visitors to be aware of when they leave our site and to read the privacy statement of any site that collects personally identifiable data.

How We Respond to “Do Not Track” Signals

National Community Renaissance does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.  However, some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you.  If you are visiting such sites, your browser allows you to set the DNT signal so that third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked.

Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website is directed to people who are at least 13 years of age or older.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Opt-Out

National Community Renaissance also offers visitors an “opt-out” option at any time they wish to cease receiving emails or other information from our organization. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
