They come from throughout Southern California and even other parts of the country. Bringing a desire to help improve communities and change lives, these young adults have made a commitment to giving the next year of their lives in service.

AmeriCorps is a federally sponsored program often described as the domestic version of the Peace Corps. With sites throughout the nation, AmeriCorps places members who volunteer to address critical community needs, such as increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, and preparing for disasters.
