Hope through Housing Foundation receives $10,000 to support Building Bright Futures initiative

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – The North County COVID Response Fund has awarded the Hope through Housing Foundation a $10,000 grant to support summer learning in San Marcos and to help students recover from the effects of the pandemic.

“As students emerge from the past year of online schooling and many academic challenges, we are thrilled to be able to provide educational summer programming to youth in San Marcos thanks to the North County COVID Fund,” said Gregory Bradbard, Hope through Housing president.

In partnership with its housing partner, National CORE, the Hope through Housing Foundation provides a stable living environment for low-income individuals and families who may otherwise be at-risk of homelessness. It provides family stabilization leading to economic mobility through the combination of a secure, affordable apartment home and onsite services/supports that empower adults to overcome barriers to employment and improve their financial situation and prepare youth for future self-sufficiency. This work has proven particularly crucial during the current health crisis. The North County COVID grant will support Hope’s Building Bright Futures initiative, helping students recover from academic challenges due to the pandemic.

Hope through Housing works to utilize affordable housing as a powerful platform for life transformation, empowering residents to reach goals they never previously thought were possible. It works to remove barriers to economic success for vulnerable populations and expand access to economic opportunity in low-income communities by providing a customized mix of services to help affordable housing residents increase their economic mobility and future self-sufficiency.

Hope through Housing Foundation’s mission is to help break the cycle of generational poverty. Utilizing onsite community centers and long-standing relationships with residents living within National CORE affordable apartment communities, it is able to deliver resources and support right where residents live, throughout and beyond the COVID-19 crisis. And it is doing just that.

The Hope through Housing Foundation has a COVID-19 Emergency Response & Resilience Fund. For more information, please visit www.hthf.org.
